Playtech Software
At the time of writing the Playtech corporate website states that they are the world's largest publicly traded online gaming software supplier. Not quite sure how they measured this, market capitalization, number of licensees, revenue or some other method. Regardless, they are a large operation who has gone from strength to strength since starting out in 1999 and the first online casino opening in 2001. They initially raised the bar as far as graphics and sounds went in the earlier days of online casinos.
Like most of the operators they have had a few less than stellar licensees and these have mostly been dealt with. Not in the league of Microgaming but still pretty reasonable with their actions. Some of them are very aggressive with their marketing and some borders on spam. Difficult to tell sometimes, just keep it in mind.
Being a public company, Playtech was one of the first online casino software providers to exit the US market. This sucks and they don't seem willing to find any workarounds. Instead they have just abandoned the market. So, if you are from the US you had better look at some of the other software providers such as the Microgaming Casinos or Real Time Gaming Casinos. Some of the Playtech casinos are using geo-targeting to route players to other casinos. It is probably better to choose from one of the other software providers listed here.
Playtech also works with land based casinos and the influence is evident in their games. They have a decent range of games and as previously mentioned, the graphics on them are simply amazing. You won't be disappointed.
Software is Windows only and with a fast download or no-download for the Apple Mac based users.
